Common questions
What happens after the 60-day Family pilot?
If you are invited and explicitly activate a pilot, Family Pro access lasts 60 days from activation. No card is collected and there is no automatic charge. Afterward, your account moves to Free unless you choose an upgrade. Existing records remain accessible; new additions follow Free-plan limits.
How do I join the pilot?
Join the waitlist. An administrator invites each cohort; participants activate their own pilot, so a waitlist entry does not guarantee or immediately activate access. Invited families do not complete a separate application.
What does 'Proof of Care' mean?
Proof of Care is a tamper-evident, timestamped HTML report of care activity in your circle. It is available on Family Plus and Family Pro; it is not normally included on Free. Former pilot participants retain this export and their full activity history.
Can I switch plans at any time?
Yes. Upgrade or downgrade anytime from your Account settings. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep access until then.
What is 'geofenced check-in'?
When a caregiver arrives at an appointment, they tap 'Verify Arrival' in the app. CareMaple Family verifies their GPS coordinates against the provider's geocoded address — giving families documented, timestamped proof of attendance. This is a Family Pro feature.
Is there annual billing?
Yes. Family Plus is CAD $249/year and Family Pro is CAD $399/year — approximately two months free compared with monthly billing. Existing subscribers keep their contracted price unless they change plans.
Is my data secure?
Yes. CareMaple Family is hosted on Canadian infrastructure and operates under PIPEDA. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit. The audit trail is immutable — it cannot be edited or deleted by anyone, including our team.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Your records remain preserved when you cancel and your account returns to Free. Export Proof of Care before the paid period ends; the report generator is unavailable on Free. You can resubscribe later without recreating your Care Circle.
